One day Training Programme on Good Management Practices in Crops and Use of Nano-Fertilizers held on 29.12.2022


ICAR - Central Research Institute for Dryland Agriculture (ICAR-CRIDA) in association with Indian Farmers Fertilizer Cooperative Limited (IFFCO) organized one day Training Programme on Good Management Practices in Crops and Use of Nano-Fertilizers, at ICAR-CRIDA on 29th December, 2022.

Dr.V.K. Singh, Director, ICAR-CRIDA inaugurated the exhibition stalls and enlightened the farmers about the need of improving the fertilizer use efficiency especially in dryland situations, how the normal urea application is contributing to the GHGs emission and he also highlighted about the benefits of Nano-urea application as foliar spray.

Dr.G. Pratibha explained in detail about Agronomical Practices of Telangana of paddy and maize. Mr.G. Sri Krishna, SMS (Hort.), KVK - Ranga Reddy district explained about good management practices in horticulture crops.

Sri Rajneesh Pandey, Chief Manager (Marketing) and Sri Krupa Shankar, SMM, IFFCO explained in detail about innovative products of IFFCO including Nano Urea. Sri Yogendra Kumar and Dr.M. Jagan Mohan Reddy from IFFCO briefed about Nano urea usage and importance.

Dr.D.B.V. Ramana, Principal Scientist & Head, KVK interacted with farmers and clarified the queries during the session. Different spraying methods of Nano Urea including Drone technology was demonstrated to the farmers by Er.S. Vijay Kumar at CRIDA Research Farm, Hayathnagar. Staff of KVK, Ranga Reddy and officials from IFFCO and 156 farmers from Ranga Reddy, Siddipet and Mahaboobnagar districts participated.
