As a part of 95th ICAR Foundation and Technology Day, Krishi Vigyan Kendra Ranga Reddy- CRIDA organized 3 days Celebrations as detailed.

On 1st day of Technology Day celebration, i.e., on 16-07-2023 which was conducted on campus and participated by Agricultural students, the KVK staff explained about technologies available in our KVK. Drs. S. Vijaya kumar, D. Sudheer and Shri. P. Ramakrishna appraised the students about the genesis of ICAR before Independence and its present status & enlightened its achievements to the Nation. While speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sudheer familiarised about mandated activities of KVK’s in general, later Dr. S. Vijaya kumar highlighted about farm mechanisation and requested the students to spread the technologies in irrigation, farm machinery, farm pond resources designed for water harvesting etc.to farmers. Shri. P. Ramakrishna, Technical Officer; created awareness on ICAR functioning structure and its major role in promoting excellence in agriculture research, education, and extension activities. He also informed various entrepreneurial opportunities in agriculture and allied sectors.

On 2nd day of Technology Day celebration, i.e., on 17-07-2023 which was also conducted on campus participated by farmers and farm workers, Dr. Sudheer explained about the importance of natural farming, advantages by adopting it, regular agricultural practices, as it helps in reduction cost of cultivation and getting good price for the produce. All staff of HRF also participated in this programme.

And on 3rd day of Technology Day celebration, i.e., on 18-07-2023 which was arranged off campus by KVK-CRIDA at Chandkhanguda hamlet of Manchal mandal in Ranga Reddy District, the KVK Team created awareness to the farmers about innovative technologies disseminated by KVK, RR District and explained various income enhancement activities in dryland agriculture. Dr. D. Sudheer, SMS (Veterinary Science) emphasized on livestock rearing for enhancement of better rural livelihoods. He informed the farmers about use of mineral & feed mixtures for dairy animals to overcome anoestrous condition and improved fodder production, management technologies for higher milk production. Shri. P. Ramakrishna, Technical Officer; explained about importance of Seed hub programme of NFSM, GoI and impact of seed production of rainfed pulses especially Redgram, Green gram and Horsegram in Ranga Reddy district. Afterwards, Dr. S. Vijaya kumar informed the farmers about new designs of farm equipment available to farmers on hiring basis also and explained about various technologies under OFT’s & FLD’s conducted by concerned subject matter specialist of KVK. Sri. M. Krishna, Sri. M. Chennnaiah from WOTR- NGO and farmers participated in this programme and actively interacted with KVK team.
