ICAR-CRIDA and IFFCO organized drone demonstration using nano urea in paddy field of Sri. Ramalinga Reddy, farmer from Gaddamallaiahguda village, Ranga Reddy district, Telangana on September 11, 2024. The village selected for drone demonstration is incidentally where CRIDA Model Village project is in operation. The demonstration was attended by Dr.V.K. Singh, Director, ICAR-CRIDA; Sri. Krupa Shankar, State Marketing Manager, IFFCO; Scientists from ICAR-CRIDA; personnel from IFFCO and other farmers of the village. The participating farmers were educated about the drone spraying viz., dosage, spray techniques etc.

Later a meeting was held in gram panchayat of Gaddamallaiahguda which was chaired by Dr. V.K. Singh, Director, ICAR-CRIDA in which vegetable seed kits from ICAR-IIHR, Bengaluru were distributed to farmers for demonstration purpose. Each seed kit consists of vegetable seeds of eight crops viz., bottle gourd, yardlong bean, french bean, dolichos, palak, amaranthus, tomato and chilly.

Other attendees are Sri. Krupa Shankar; Dr. K. Ravi Shankar, PI, Model Village Project; Dr. Chandrakanth, Head KVK-CRIDA; Village secretary Ms. Swapna Reddy. Scientists from ICAR-CRIDA Dr. (s.) B. Sanjeeva Reddy, Anshida Beevi, Jagriti Rohit, A.G.K. Reddy, Girijaveni, Bhargavi, and Project staff Mr. K. Srikanth, Mr. Saleem also participated in the meeting.
