on 27th September, 2024, a Kisan Mela was organized at Keshlapur, Indravelli mandal, Adilabad district under Sub Tribal Component of ICAR-Central Research Institute for Dryland Agriculture, Hyderabad. Mr. bhojju Patel, H'ble Member of Legislative Assembly, Khanapur constituency, Telangana was the chief guest in the function.

Dr. Vinod Kumar Singh, Director, ICAR -CRIDA, Hyderabad was the Guest of Honour of the function. Sri Patel ji louded the scientific activities carried out by ICAR-CRIDA and urged the farmers to co-operate and support the scientists. He further suggested to the scientists to enhance the skills of farmers. Director, CRIDA explained about the farm ponds, other NRM interventions, improved crop varieties provided under the project, horticulture interventions, mineral supplementation, backyard poultry, registered farmer's group, etc.

During the occasion, 3hp motors, area specific mineral mixture, mineral blocks, bamboo baskets, rainguns were provided to the farmers for use in participatory mode. A total of more than 600 farmers (more than 150 women farmers) participated in the event which was appreciated by mandal officers, AICRPDA Head and Dr Manoranjan Kumar, Nodal Officer, STC. The program ended with a vote of thanks and program coordination by Dr Boini Narasimulu.
