ICAR-Krishi Vigyan Kendra (CRIDA) Ranga Reddy has organised Farmers’ Day Celebration on the theme, “Empowering ‘Annadatas’ for a Proseperous Nation” on 23rd December, 2024. The programme was participated by 25 National Cadet Corps (NCC) & National Service Scheme (NSS) from Avanthi Degree & PG College, Hyderabad,

Dr. D.B.V. Ramana, PS & OIC, GRF, as the Chief Guest along with KVK staff, Dr. S. Vijaya Kumar, Shri. P. Ramakrishna, and YP’s. This day is celebrated to mark the birth anniversary of Late. Shri. Chaudhary Charan singh and is being organised keeping in view the immense contribution for promoting use of agricultural science for the welfare of farmers.

The Chief Guest gave message on importance of Kisan Diwas and Swachhta activities in Agriculture and rural areas. He urged the students to work hard and minimise the usage of pesticides.

Dr. S. Vijaya Kumar explained about KVK mandate, its activities and mechanisation in agriculture. Later, Shri. P. Ramakrishna, Technical Officer, elucidated the significance of the farmers’ invaluable contribution to the society and explained about the seed hub related activities. The programme was followed by visit to various KVK demonstration units, implement shed, farm pond and Seed Processing Unit.
