KVK Ranga Reddy district- ICAR-CRIDA organized the Floriculturist-Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) program from August 5-7, 2024, under the RKVY scheme. The training aimed to identify and certify individuals' skills acquired through formal or informal means without requiring a full training schedule.

The program covered important aspects of floriculture, including:

• Production technology and value addition of major flower crops
• Propagation techniques
• Landscape gardening, design, planning, and implementation
• Advanced techniques and practical applications
• Harvesting and post-harvest handling
• Value addition of flower crops, such as dry flower preparation
• Floral design principles and flower arrangement
• Marketing and business aspects



Practical sessions featured live demonstrations on these topics. Trainees were assessed through an online test, oral viva and practical evaluation by ASCI on August 7, 2024.
