ICAR-Central Research Institute for Dryland Agriculture organized Parthenium Awareness day on 17th August 2024 at Hayatngar Research Farm (HRF) of ICAR-CRIDA as a part of Parthenium Awareness week in the gracious presence of 𝘋𝘳. 𝘚.𝘕. 𝘑𝘩𝘢, 𝘋𝘋𝘎 (𝘌𝘯𝘨𝘨). He addressed staff about the importance of celebrating the parthenium week.

Dr. V. K. Singh, Director, ICAR-CRIDA highlighted the harmful effects of parthenium like skin allergy (dermatitis), hay fever and asthma in human beings and stressed the need to manage this weed an integrated mode i.e through mechanical, cultural and biocontrol methods.

Staff participated in uprooting of parthenium plants in and around HRF and helped in making it parthenium free campus.
