The Global Campaign on #एक पेड़ मां के नाम was celebrated at Hayathnagar Research Farm, ICAR-CRIDA with full enthusiasm and participation of all the categories of staff. Tree plantations belonging to different types and utilities (Amaltas, jarul, Neel Mohar, Gulmohar, Jacaranda, Bauhinia, Bottlebrush, Cassia, Licuala, etc) were planted and participants were appraised about the importance of event and target to be achieved in forthcoming months. The global significance of plantation to mitigate the climate change was also lauded.

Earlier about 50 trees of different species were planted in HRF on 17th August, 2024 (Saturday), in the gracious presence of Dr SN Jha, DDG (Agriculture Engineering), ICAR, New Delhi and Dr Vinod Kumar Singh, Director, ICAR - CRIDA, Hyderabad.

Before this event, on 14th August 2024 (Wednesday) similar activity was celebrated at ICAR-CRIDA in the gracious presence of Dr SK Chaudhari, DDG (Natural Resource Management), ICAR, New Delhi, Dr Anup Das, Director, ICAR-ER, Patna, Dr K Sammi Reddy, ICAR-NIASM, Baramati, Dr Sunil Kumar, Director, ICAR-IIFSR, Modipuram, Dr Parveen Kumar, Director, ICAR-CCARI, Goa, Dr M Madhu, Director, ICAR-IISWC, Dehradun, Dr KG Mandal, Director, ICAR-MGIFRI, Motihari and Dr Vinod Kumar Singh, Director, ICAR - CRIDA, Hyderabad. All the participants planted a sapling on this occasion.

Plantations were also carried by the NCC Unit of Hyderabad Hub of IARI Mega University, ICAR-CRIDA, Hyderabad involving students and faculties.
