A 15-day residential training program was conducted under the aegis of CSC for FPOs, PACS, and VLEs regarding dealer licenses for fertilizers, seeds, and agrochemicals. Thirty participants attended the program, which took place from August 11 to August 25, 2026, at the training hall of the Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) in Ranga Reddy district, ICAR–CRIDA (Central Research Institute for Dryland Agriculture), Hyderabad.
The inaugural programme commenced with the arrival and welcome of the dignitaries. The dignitaries formally inaugurated the programme by lighting the traditional lamp.
Dr. Chandrakant M.H., Senior Scientist and Head, KVK Ranga Reddy, delivered the welcome address and extended a warm welcome to the guests, resource persons and participants.
Dr. S. Vijaya Kumar, SMS (Agricultural Engineering), Training Coordinator, presented an overview of the training programme and explained the course schedule. The programme has been designed to provide systematic knowledge and capacity building to the participants on various aspects related to agricultural inputs and the requirements for obtaining an Agri Inputs Dealer License.
Shri Shiva Reddy, Senior Executive, CSC Telangana, Hyderabad, delivered the opening remarks and highlighted the importance of skill development and institutional capacity building for FPOs and PACS in the agricultural input sector.
The participants introduced themselves and shared their background and interest in participating in the residential training programme.
Mrs. M. Sujata, District Agriculture Officer (DAO), Rangareddy, attended the programme as the Guest of Honour and addressed the participants. She emphasized the importance of proper knowledge, responsible handling and distribution of agricultural inputs for supporting farmers and improving agricultural production.
The inaugural programme was graced by Dr. J.V.N.S. Prasad, Project Coordinator, AICRPDA, ICAR–CRIDA, Hyderabad, as the Chief Guest. In his address, he emphasized the importance of strengthening the knowledge and technical capacity of FPOs and PACS to enable them to provide quality agricultural input services to farmers.
During the valedictory programme, Dr. K. V. Rao, Head, DRM, ICAR–CRIDA, as Chief Guest, and Mr. Krupashankar, SMM, IFFCO, as Guest of Honour, delivered the closing remarks and distributed certificates to the successful participants. The certificate distribution marked the successful completion of the training programme.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Dr. G. Sri Krishna, SMS (Horticulture), KVK Ranga Reddy. The dignitaries, organizers and participants subsequently participated in a group photograph, followed by high tea.
The 15-day CSC-sponsored residential training programme, conducted from 11 to 25 August 2026, provided an important platform for capacity building of FPOs and PACS in agricultural input management and dealer licensing requirements. The programme concluded with the active participation and cooperation of the trainees, organizers, resource persons and sponsoring organizations.
