Krishi Vigyan Kendra Rangareddy District, ICAR-Central Research Institute for Dryland Agriculture distributed Farm Machinery to Scheduled Caste farmers in Chittapur villages, Manchala mandal, Rangareddy district, Telangana on 16th May 2025. KVK scientists Dr. Chandrakant MH Head-KVK, Dr. S Vijaya Kumar SMS (Agricultural Engineering), Dr. Sudheer SMS (Vet Science), Dr. Gautam Veer Chauhan (Agricultural Science), and Village Agricultural Society President Sudhakar and 72 farmers from Chittapur villagers and nearby villagers participated in it
Dr. Chandrakant MH Head of KVK explained the agricultural and agro-allied programs being run by the KVK to the SC farmers. Distributed 42 manual weeders, 14 manual-operated chaff cutters and one set of travis to the farmers of a cluster of eight villages.
Dr. S. Vijaya Kumar SMS (Agricultural Engineering) educated the farmers about farm mechanization like seed and fertilizer drills, weeding, spraying, chaff cutter and drone equipment. These machines are very beneficial for the farmers and help in saving time and money at the right time.
Dr. Sudheer SMS (Vet Science) explained veterinary activities and presented the livestock Travis to the Gram Panchayat and the Travis are used to check the health of the livestock in the village. Similarly, he informed the farmers about the fodder species required for the nutrition of the livestock in the village and the prevention of diseases they suffer from
Dr. Gautam Veer Chauhan (Agronomy) explained the CFLD Redgram program to the farmers and best management practices have been explained to farmers, Shri Sudhakar, President of the Village Agriculture Association , emphasized that our village agriculture can be strengthened with advanced technologies.
