The ICAR–Central Research Institute for Dryland Agriculture (ICAR-CRIDA), Hyderabad, observed the concluding day of the Janjatiya Gaurav Varsh Pakhwada-2025 with great enthusiasm and respect, honouring the rich cultural heritage, sacrifices, and contributions of India’s tribal communities.
The programme began with a formal welcome, followed by a brief introduction on the significance of Janjatiya Gaurav Varsh.
As part of Janjatiya Gaurav Varsh Pakhwada 2025-celebrations to honour tribal heritage and the 150th birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda, awareness campaign, input distribution and Farmer-Scientist Interface Meeting were organized on the concluding day by ICAR - Central Research Institute for Dryland Agriculture (CRIDA), Hyderabad at Garkhampet, Seethagondi, Malkapur and Vaijapur Villages of Adilabad District, Telangana.
Later Farmers were sensitized about the importance of soil testing in soil health management and procedure for the collection of soil sampling explained to the farmers. During the interaction programme scientists highlighted significance of natural farming and integrated farming system in the rainfed ecosystem.
Later, Green gram variety, MGG-351 and Sorghum variety, PSPY 2 seeds were distributed to the farmers. After that demonstration of biofertilizer application was organized followed by the distribution of biofertilizers.
A total of 150 farmers including 9 women farmers attended the programme. A team of scientists from ICAR-CRIDA consisting Dr. Pushpanjali, Dr. Priya P. Gurav and Dr. B. Bhargavi coordinated the programme
