Participation of ICAR-CRIDA, KVK in the RPL Training Programmes under the ATMA Scheme


Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Ranga Reddy District of ICAR-CRIDA, participated in the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) training programme under the ATMA scheme held on 19 August 2026 at the Rythu Vedika’s of Begumpet cluster, Rachloor in Kandukur Mandal and the Sirigiripur cluster in Maheshwaram Mandal of Ranga Reddy District.

KVK staff, Shri P. Ramakrishna, Technical Officer, and Dr. Gautam V. Chauhan, Subject Matter Specialist (Agronomy), served as resource persons and sensitized farmers on the selection of suitable paddy varieties based on prevailing local agro-climatic conditions.

Shri P. Ramakrishna of CRIDA-KVK, created awareness among farmers on the selection of suitable crop varieties for the local agro-climatic conditions, emphasizing the importance of quality seed, crop duration, yield potential, market demand, and other relevant factors.

Dr. Gautham Chauhan explained the importance of biofertilizers such as Azospirillum, Azotobacter, and PSB, including their proper storage, dosage, and application methods. He also sensitized farmers on the importance of Soil Health Cards and explained the correct procedure for collecting representative soil samples for accurate testing and nutrient management.

Mandal Agriculture Officers Smt. Lavanya Jyothi and Smt. Nagamani, along with Cluster AEOs, Agriculture Department officials and a substantial number of farmers, participated in the programme at the respective Rythu Vedikas of Kandukur Mandal and Sirigiripuram, Maheshwaram Mandal. Later, training completion certificates were distributed to the trainees at the Maheshwaram cluster of Ranga Reddy District.
