As part of the nationwide “Khet Bachaao Abhiyan” campaign, an Awareness Programme on Balanced Use of Fertilizers (BUF) was organized by KVK Ranga Reddy, ICAR-CRIDA at Manchal Village in Manchal Mandal, Ranga Reddy District on 30th June, 2026.
The closing ceremony of the Khet Bachao Abhiyan on 30th June, 2026, was conducted at Rythu Vedhika, Manchal Village, Manchal Mandal, with active participation of farmers and KVK staff. A total of 165 farmers attended the programme and gained awareness on balanced fertilizer use, soil health management, and sustainable agricultural practices.
Dr. Chandrakanth M. H., Head, KVK, addressed the farmers on the importance of conserving soil health through scientific farming practices and balanced nutrient management for sustainable agricultural productivity.
Dr. Sri Krishna, SMS (Horticulture), briefed about integrated nutrient management in horticultural crops and emphasized the efficient use of organic manures and micronutrients for improving crop yield and quality.
Dr. D. Sudheer, SMS (Veterinary Science), explained the role of livestock integration, farmyard manure, and organic inputs in improving soil fertility and reducing dependence on chemical fertilizers.
Dr. Dilip S., SMS (Agricultural Extension), created awareness on the objectives of the Khet Bachao Abhiyan and encouraged farmers to adopt eco-friendly agricultural practices and scientific farming technologies for long-term sustainability.
