ICAR-CRIDA commences the “Special Campaign 5.0” to meet the goals of institutionalizing Swachhata from 2nd October 2025 and it will continue upto 31 October 2025.

As part of the Special Campaign 5.0, the staff of ICAR-Central Research Institute for Dryland Agriculture (CRIDA), Hyderabad actively participated in a sapling plantation drive held on 9 October 2025 within the CRIDA campus premises. The event was organized under the nationwide initiative “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam”, encouraging individuals to plant and nurture trees in honor of their mothers.. The programme aimed to spread awareness on environmental conservation and honor motherhood through tree plantation.

During the campaign, staff members collectively planted a variety of saplings, reinforcing CRIDA’s commitment to environmental protection and sustainability. The programme highlighted the importance of tree plantation for ecological balance and served as a reminder of our responsibility toward a greener and cleaner future.

Planting trees helps improve air quality, conserve soil and water, enhance biodiversity, and reduce the impact of climate change.
