Live streaming of Launching of PM-DDKY by the Hon'ble Prime Minister at KVK-Ranga Reddy District of ICAR-CRIDA


On 11th October, 2025, KVK-Ranga Reddy District of ICAR-CRIDA organized a live webcasting of the Hon'ble Prime Minister's launching of initiatives of DA&FW in Pusa (NASC Complex), Delhi, besides PM Dhan-Dhaanya Krishi .

This webcast was attended by ICAR-CRIDA staff and also on online and effectively conveyed the Prime Minister's message to the participants.Total 1229 participants attended in both online and offline mode..

On this occasion Before webcasting Dr.V.K.Singh, Director CRIDA, welcomed the participants and briefed about PM Dhan Dhanya Krishi Yojana and Mission for Aatmanirbharta in Pulses.He told that PM Dhan Dhanya Krishi Yojana scheme is aimed to enhance productivity, promote crop diversification, improve irrigation and storage.

He also told that Pradhan Mantri Dhan Dhanya Krishi Yojana (PM-DDKY) is a landmark initiative for transforming India's agricultural landscape is designed to catalyse growth in 100 agri-districts and will benefit 1.7 crore farmers and aims to create ample opportunities in rural areas

After that scientist of ICAR-CRIDA explained about Rabi Season Crop Plan followed by Water Management, Pulse Mission,Natural forming. to create awareness to the participants

Later, the Live screening of launch of the “PM Dhan Dhaanya Krishi Yojana, National Mission on Pulses and other major schemes” by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi was telecasted.

A new chapter is set in India’s agricultural history, as Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi launched two major initiatives — the ‘PM Dhan-Dhaanya Krishi Yojana’ and the Self-Reliance in Pulses Mission — at the National Agricultural Science Complex, Pusa, New Delhi, with the objective of enhancing farmers’ income and strengthening the agricultural sector.

On this occasion, the Prime Minister also laid the foundation stone for over 1,100 projects related to Agriculture Infrastructure Fund, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries, and Food Processing sectors. Together, these projects amount to more than ₹42,000 crore, and are expected to usher in a new era of prosperity and well-being for millions of farmers across the country.

During the event, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modil honoured farmers, Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs), cooperative societies, and innovators for their outstanding contributions to the agricultural sector. The Prime Minister also highlighted several key national achievements in agriculture and rural development.

In his address he told these initiatives will not only strengthen India’s food security in the coming years but also lead the nation toward self-sufficiency in pulses production, reinforcing the government’s commitment to empowering farmers and building a resilient agricultural economy

Addressing the gathering on this occasion the Prime Minister said, the two schemes will transform the fortunes of millions of farmers in the country. He emphasized for 21st century to achieve rapid development, reforms in country’s agricultural system were essential .
