Webcast of release of 21 st instalment of PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme at ICAR-CRIDA


On 19th November, 2025, ICAR-Central Research Institute for Dryland Agriculture (CRIDA) and Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) of ICAR-CRIDA , Hyderabad, organized a programme of live viewing of the event release of 21ST instalment under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) Scheme by Hon'ble Prime Minister from Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu at ICAR-CRID,Hyderabad

This webcast was attended by ICAR-CRIDA staff, students of IARI-Mega University Hyderabad Hub,KVK,ICAR-CRIDA Staff, and farmers and also on online and effectively conveyed the Prime Minister's message to the participants.

The programme was conducted which is a significant step toward reinforcing the government's commitment to supporting farmers. The successful execution of the telecast not only disseminated vital information regarding the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi but also fostered a sense of community among farmers.

On this occasion before webcasting an introductory remarks delivered by Dr. M.Srinivas Rao, Head Division of Crop Science (DCS) and nodal officer of this programmme. He emphasized the importance of PM-KISAN in supporting the livelihoods of small and marginal farmers and reiterated ICAR’s role in promoting dryland agriculture.

He also and briefed about PM Dhan Dhanya Krishi Yojana and Mission for Aatmanirbharta in Pulses.He told that PM Dhan Dhanya Krishi Yojana scheme is aimed to enhance productivity, promote crop diversification, improve irrigation and storage.

After that scientists of ICAR-CRIDA explained about Rabi Season Crop Plan followed by Pulse Mission,Natural forming. to create awareness to the participants .KVK staff also created awareness on on crop and livestock production technologies, essential resources, including bio-fertilizers, agricultural machinery usage in agriculture

The event, broadcast from Coimbatore Tamil Nadu marked the direct benefit transfer (DBT) of ₹18,000 crore to over 9 crore farmers across the country.

A virtual address by the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi was live-streamed from Coimbatore Tamil Nadu, where he formally released the 21st instalment of the PM-KISAN scheme. The Prime Minister reaffirmed the government’s dedication to ensuring the economic stability of farmers and stressed the significance of timely financial assistance.

During the event, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi honoured Natural Farming farmers, for their outstanding contributions to the agricultural sector. The Prime Minister also highlighted several key national achievements in agriculture and rural development.

In his address he told these initiatives will not only strengthen India’s food security in the coming years but also lead the nation toward self-sufficiency in pulses production, reinforcing the government’s commitment to empowering farmers and building a resilient agricultural economy.

He appreciated the farmers of Natural Farmers. He appreciated the farmers who exhibited their products and machinery in the exhibition. He emphasized the farmers to do more Natural Farming. He also told that with decrease In GST on agriculture products benefited to the farmers

It served as a platform to reinforce the government's vision for transforming Indian agriculture through innovation, inclusion, and investment.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. K.Ravi Shankar, Principal Scientist and SIC,TOT expressed gratitude to all dignitaries, farmers, scientists, officials.
