ICAR-Central Research Institute for Dryland Agriculture (ICAR-CRIDA) in collaboration with Indian Farmers Fertilizer Cooperative Limited (IFFCO) organized three-day training cum awareness program on Nano-urea for Cooperators and farmers from 20-21 July 2023 at ICAR-CRIDA, Santoshnagar, Hyderabad. On 20th July 2023, inauguration of the training programme was held wherein Dr. V.K Singh, Director, ICAR-CRIDA was chief guest. Mr Krupashankar MR, State marketing manager, IFFCO explained about the innovative products developed by IFFCO in recent years. During the Inauguration, Dr. V.K Singh addressed the co-operators and farmers and spoke about the importance of nano-urea in agricultural practices. He advised the farmers to adopt the latest technology by following the recommended package of practices. On the first day of training programme, Dr. K A Gopinath, Principal Scientist (agronomy) delivered a lecture on the efficacy and use of nano urea and on second day Dr. V Girija Veni Senior Scientist (Soil Science) gave lecture in the balanced use of fertilizers followed by field visits. The training programme from CRIDA side was coordinated by Dr. K Ravi Shankar SIC & Principal Scientist (Agril. Extn.) and Dr. Jagriti Rohit, Scientist (Agril. Extn.) coordinated the programme.
