A team of scientists from ICAR-CRIDA, Hyderabad along with Director Dr. V. K. Singh visited Gaddamallaiahguda Village, Yacharam Mandal, Rangareddy District, Telangana on 26th June, 2023 to monitor the progress under model village project. During the visit, our team interacted with the farmers on various aspects. Initially Dr. K. Ravi Shankar, PI of the project briefed about the interventions made followed by Dr. Sanjeeva Reddy, Principal Scientist (FMP) on small farm mechanization and custom hiring centres. Dr. P. K. Pankaj, Principal Scientist (LPM) explained about the livestock interventions planned in the village. Later, Dr. Manoranjan Kumar, Principal Scientist (SWC) and Dr. B. Narsimlu, Principal Scientist (SWC) interacted on water management aspects. On this occasion, Dr. V. K. Singh, Director, ICAR-CRIDA monitored the progress of various interventions and addressed the gathering. Later, the team visited farm pond and beneficiary farmers’ field. The programme was also attended by upasarpanch of the village and Co-PIs Dr. C. N. Anshida Beevi, Scientist (Agril. Extension); Dr. Jagriti Rohit, Scientist (Agril. Extension) and Dr. V. Girija Veni, Senior Scientist (Soil Science).
