A team of scientists from ICAR-CRIDA, Hyderabad visited Chindnoor Village, Chincholi Taluka of Kalaburagi District, Karnataka, on 4th July, 2023. Dr. R. V. Adake, Co-Nodal Officer, SCSP & Principal Scientist (FMP), Dr. V. Maruthi, Principal Scientist (Agronomy), Dr. Savitha Santosh, Scientist (Microbiology) and Dr.C. N. Anshida Beevi, Scientist (Agril. Extension) from ICAR - CRIDA coordinated the visit and monitored the progress of SCSP activities in the village. A Focussed Group Discussion (FGD) was conducted along with the famers to finalize the interventions. Later, an awareness campaign was organized to create aware on advantages of using CRIDA-six row planter among the villagers. During the visit, Redgram seeds (PRG 176) were distributed amongst 200 beneficiaries. Apart from this, biofertilizers were also distributed for seed treatment and soil application. Biofertilizers included Azotobacter, Azospirillum, P-solubilizing bacteria, K-solubilizing bacteria & Zn-solubilizing bacteria of 50 kg each.
